FISS Fiasco

Well the most coveted weekend in BHM brought lots of excitement to our little Titletown, and the energy left promptly with the last dumb girl who woke up next to some random Frat ninja at the Red Roof Inn the next morning, and then quickly went on her way. And just like those girls that woke up half-naked not knowing where they were, we felt the same way once FISS Weekend was over.

It's the greatest month of the year, The Black Community, and we must savor it because it will be gone in the blink of an eye. Black History Month is upon us. Let's take the opportunity to support our community because lord knows the rest of UF ain't worried about it.

Them ninjas didn't take any time at all, The Black Community. Not even two weeks into the year, and ninjas are slapping women and breaking into houses. Welcome back to Gainesville. You know you're in the 'Ville when you wake up to terrifying text messages about some ninjas causing mischief. It's "Time to Die" Again.

2013 Resolutions (Back At It)

Welcome to 2013, The Black Community. We've reached the Spring Semester and survived the apocalypse planned by the Florida Blue Key Illuminati. They were probably too busy choosing  elderly rock bands for next year's Gator Growl. We'll all be in Tallahassee for homecoming anyway, so it's not really a big deal.

We knew something was up when we kept getting those long excuses emails supposedly updating us about the presidential search and they were absolutely useless. Oh well, at least we get to shake Darth Vader's cold lifeless hands at graduation. Hold on tight to your financial aid.

The search has been suspended: President Bernie Machen isn’t leaving UF right now. This decision comes after requests from Gov. Rick Scott and UF Board of Trustees Chairman David Brown, according to a statement released Tuesday afternoon.

Above is the picture that was circulating around Black People Twitter and White Bro Facebook yesterday. It shows 2 Bros being Bros and dressing up as a cross between the Jersey Shore cast and Soulja Boy. 

Apparently, some IFC Frat was hosting a CMT vs.BET Party because they couldn't come up with any better ideas. For those of you not in the know, CMT is Mitt Romney's official cheerleading TV Station. Sorry Fox News. They play all the big jams like "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy". You might have heard it playing outside the club painted like a cow on your way to Club Element, or whatever they decide to call The Venue that month.

We just can't get away from this voting thing, The Black Community. We just got finished with Student Government elections, the Presidential Election is in full swing, and with Soulfest around the corner, The Black Community is faced with the most important of all elections, BSU Homecoming Court.
