Where Did We Go Wrong?

Black UF Twitter was on and poppin' yesterday,  for probably the first and last time this semester. A guy on Twitter had his mentions blow up after he dropped a comment that might have been insulting to some NPHC organizations. And you know them ninjas can be sensitive. UF Black Twitter was a movie, and we had the popcorn ready.

2DarkBros

Above is the picture that was circulating around Black People Twitter and White Bro Facebook yesterday. It shows 2 Bros being Bros and dressing up as a cross between the Jersey Shore cast and Soulja Boy.

Apparently, some IFC Frat was hosting a CMT vs.BET Party because they couldn't come up with any better ideas. For those of you not in the know, CMT is Mitt Romney's official cheerleading TV Station. Sorry Fox News. They play all the big jams like "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy". You might have heard it playing outside the club painted like a cow on your way to Club Element, or whatever they decide to call The Venue that month.

Fashion Faux-Pas

Fashion Shows. They are hyped as the biggest and baddest spectacle in Black Entertainment. They are filled with high energy, fierce striding, and the most questionable clothes choices. On paper they are the most fun anyone could ever imagine.

Game Over

Yesterday was a momentous event in the Black Community, the season premiere of The Game. Everything in The Black World came to halt as soon as 10pm struck. Violence ended, studying stopped, and weave stores closed. The entire The Black Community was sitting snuggly on their couch, Twitter uploaded, ready to be more entertained by their timeline than the poorly written show. Somewhere a forgotten rapper mistakenly thought the world was hype for his career. Try again, Jayceon.

3 Girls 1 Outlet

Smh, The Black Community, Smh. Where did we go wrong? Those students from a Duval County Partner School have started acting up again and have led us down the road to becoming a fully-fledged HBCU. All we need now is a decent Gator Band. No Nice Watch. When the library is no longer a safe place to study, The Black Community has a problem. We have to do better. It’s only a matter of time before the video ends up on Worldstar.

Twitter Philosophers

We’re dealing with an ever growing problem, The Black Community, Twitter Philosophers. Black People Twitter has always had its abundance of problems, but the amount of Armchair Aristotles is becoming a plague on the Twitter feed. It’s already bad enough filtering through the Strictly Sunday Worshippers and their once-a-week praise Tweets.

Chuch!

Welcome back, The Black Community. It’s been two weeks into the semester, and everyone is settling back into the swing of things. Today we look at a topic near and dear to The Black Community, Chuch! It's the event we see flood social networking sites every Sunday, that one element that we all take and mold to our will, and unfortunately, the one object that is used so improperly, that the only response is a good strong SMH.

Lessons Learned From #TTQ

Damn. The UF Black Internets is going crazy. Ninjas are getting technological all of a sudden. It has only been 2 weeks into Summer B, and we already have had 3 cyberspace phenomenons. We blame Black People Twitter. It’s not safe out here White People; we’re coming for everything you hold dear. Techno Tuesdays, Penny Thursdays, and now the Web. “We’re In Yo Internetz, Doing Ninja Shit”. But through all this nonsense, anonymous grandstanding, and entertainment more satisfying than anything on BET or VH1, we have learned a few things. Most notably, ninjas love lists, and ninjas love awards.

Pregame Report: Summer B Predicitions

Summer B is upon us, Black Community! This is the time of the year that we’ve all been waiting for. Six weeks full of bad decisions, parties, fade, Greeks, sketch “afterparties”, hurt feelings and occasionally schoolwork that are the best introduction to the UF Black Culture anyone could ask for. Bump a Preview Orientation. One day into Summer B, and we are already wildin' out. Somewhere Bernie “The Arch Nemesis” Machen is trembling in his BMW. Before we roll into Summer B, let’s make some predictions as to how the semester will go. We’ll come back at the end of the semester to see if we got anything wrong (we wont...) and do a recap of the semester as a whole.
