Last night The Black Community came together as one unified
group, putting aside our petty differences to sit and watch the controversial
new show Sorority Sisters on our beloved VH1. This came right on the heels of
that cluster in DC where new-wave Twitter Activists and old-school Al Sharpton couldn’t
agree on who deserved to be the face of Black outrage. It’s great to see that
we can finally compromise on important issues like VH1 shows. #Priorities

Vote Or Die
We just can't get away from this voting thing, The Black
Community. We just got finished with Student Government elections, the
Presidential Election is in full swing, and with Soulfest around the corner,
The Black Community is faced with the most important of all elections, BSU
Homecoming Court.

Game Over
Yesterday was a momentous event in the Black Community, the season premiere of The Game. Everything in The Black World came to halt as soon as 10pm struck. Violence ended, studying stopped, and weave stores closed. The entire The Black Community was sitting snuggly on their couch, Twitter uploaded, ready to be more entertained by their timeline than the poorly written show. Somewhere a forgotten rapper mistakenly thought the world was hype for his career. Try again, Jayceon.

Gainesville Sickness?
Summer B is over, The Black Community, and we have 2 weeks to ourselves until the Fall semester comes and we actually have to start learning again. All over Facebook and Twitter there are status updates about “I’m so ready to leave stupid Gainesville”, followed by “I’m bored”, all within 24 hours (LOL). It seems as soon as you get home and realize your hometown is deserted, we're all yearning to be back in Gainesville again. We’ve said it before; Gainesville has a gravitational pull. Hell some of us can’t even make it out of Gainesville in the first place.

What We Love: ShoneTV
It’s Monday, The Black Community, and that means it’s time for our favorite type of programming. Shone TV. Love or hate it, but the TV shows focused on privileged women with loose morals and bad tempers are all the rage in The Black Community. BET never had such good ratings until they started airing “The Game”. It’s about time they showed something other than nonstop reruns of Leprechaun 3. VH1, MTV, and even the “women upliftment channels” Bravo, Oxygen and Lifetime have cashed in on this phenomenon. Damn. It’s the life we all wish to lead, but don’t want to tell anyone. It's easier to just watch it on TV in the comfort of our own living rooms.
